Browser Wars and My Ratings

The Browser Wars have returned after the release of Microsoft Corp's Internet Explorer8,Mozilla's Firefox 3.0 and Google Inc's Chrome. I regularly use all the three browsers which made me to provide these ratings for these Browsers...I have compared the Working of Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox 3.0, Google Chrome 0.4

Security: 

As for as Security is concerned, The Internet Explorer is very open for Attacks,Chrome and Firefox environment are different hence secure when compared to IE8.Firefox and Chrome prevent Malware sites better than IE8.

Speed: 

Chrome is very fast when compared to other browsers. IE 8 and Ff3.0 do not live upto the

expectations given by Chrome.

Stability:

The Stability of the browser, Its ability against Crashing is taken into account. Chrome is excellent and so is IE8. Both the browsers  are very stable.

Vulnerability:

Vulnerability against Infections and Other malfunctions is relatively low in Chrome,FF3 and IE8 are more vulnerable to attacks.

Popup Blocking:

Popup blocking is an important part while analysing a Browser.IE8 and FF3 easily allow popups, infact i used Google Toolbar and stuffs like that to prevent popups in these browsers.Again Chrome faired well.

Various Software Supporting:

In this Category, It shows how browsers fare in supporting External Thirdparty SWs.All the Browsers are more or less having the Same rating here, while IE8 takes Slender lead.

Userfriendliness: 

In this Part, I have analzed how a browser could be easliy used by a new-surfer.Chrome is infactr good for Regular and standardised user, but new users cannot easily find the Settings or even the Cut, Copy ,Paste things in Chrome unless they know the Shortcuts its not easy.In this Category IE8 tops.

Features and Addons:

This Part deals with extra Addons that could be used with the browser, Things like Unicode Typers, Various Third Party Plugins.FF3 is very strong in this Category. It allows almost every addon that makes it on the top , Whereas in Chrome the Feature is completely absent.

Unique Features:

In this part, I hav shown my Ratings for Extra Stuff in the Browser that makes the Browser more Edgy.Chrome's Own Taskmanager ,Application Shortcut creator takes it to the Frontline!

Themes and Appearances: 

Chrome lacks the User to install User  preferred themes for now, This Situation may change as full versions of Chrome may come in market.FF3 has more features in it allowing installations of Themes in it.

Overall: Chrome is far better than Other Browsers. All though the Rating may show equality , Chrome is very good for regular and more Broader Internet Users.

IE 8:    

+ves: Stability, Userfriendliness, Comes along with Windows so need to install it Seperately

-ves:  Not Fast enough,Less Secure and More Vulnerable

Firefox 3.0:

+ves: Addons and its Features, Appearance and Flexibility

-ves : Easily Crashes, Performance is not as per expectations.

Chrome:

+ves: Speed, Secure, Inbuilt Features such as Task manager, Application shortcuts,Stable

-ves : No Offline Stand-alone Installer, Less Appearance Features, Absence of Unicode Text Entering ability.
