The Name Jihad has been an evil name in the Dictionary for the American,European and the Indian Public for long time.According to Islam its the holy wars against those who stand against Islam. The Immediate spread of Islam after Mohammed , The Land of Islam ranged from Spain in the West to the Indus in the East. During this time the Crusades began in the Holy Land with Christian forces from Europe began their bitter battles with the Arabs (Saracens). The Legendary leader of Saracens , Saladin fought against these occupying Crusaders. After the hundreds of years of the Crusaders the land was finally under muslim rule. But peace was not to last .After the Renaissance in Europe most of the Islamic countries of Asia and North Africa came under the European and American Controls.
Ever since the Cold war began the Jihad found a new face. The modern Jihadis don't fight against their enemies directly as Saladin did, Now they kill civilians also. The Terrorist Jihad began rising during the Cold War. The Middle East was a bitter battle ground for the Two Ideologies of The USSR and The USA. The Soviet Union primarily allied itself with the Syrians, Egyptians, Yemen and the Palestinians. The Afghan people had turned Communist in 1975. The Govt was less stable as the USA wanted to collapse it. In 1979, A Revolt begun in Afghanistan that overthrew the Communist govt. The Soviet Union made a decision to invade Afghanistan in 1979. As soon as the "Atheistic" Soviet troops entered Afghan, The Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and other pro-American Muslim nations began spreading a false message amongst its people.Now a new Jihad was getting formulated. The USA funded it. It was named Mujahideen as usual.The Soviet Union was fighting against these Jihadis for 10 long years.However the War came to an end. Due to its Internal Problems, The Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.
After the Collapse of the Soviet Union Afghan was still under Nazibullah a communist, until he was hanged in Public by the rising Taliban. The Taliban is an Islamic fundamentalist Organization, an offshoot of Jihadis who fought against USSR.They followed strict Shariat rules. By it women were never allowed to get Education, They can get easily beaten up if they come out of their house without her husband or father. There was no Liberty. Though said as moral Govt , The Taliban rule increased the Cultivation of Opium in Afghanistan.
Years have gone, the USA's funding of the Jihadis stopped after the Collapse of Soviet Union. Now the Jihadis turned against Americans for the latter's support of Israel. America calls Jihadis as irresponsible and says they are people against Liberty. It calls Osama Bin Laden as a Psycho path. But History had informed only one thing, The same Jihadis were the Product of US Imperialism. The USA funded the Mujahideen. Now its reaping what it had sown. But still the US Trademark Policies of dealing with Terrorism, continues to affect the Third world.
Now, Afghanistan has a new Govt under Hamid Karzai, which is highly unstable. The resurgent Taliban have taken newer positions. Any Return back decision of America could devastate the war ravished land. Already Two Wars in 8 years and the worst financial crisis have rattled the US Govt. Any mistake by the USA would surely deteriorate the American Financial Structure which could well result in the collapse of the Super Power. All the Instability in Financial World and the Rising problems else where in the world, could see the World destabilize soon. The World is likely to fall in a pit hole soon. The Rise of Religious fundamentalism is likely. The World is going to face another worse Political Crisis soon.
The Earth has faced many Crisis. And just like all the previous ones, This one will also have Religions and Gods in their front lines.At this crucial moment before the dawn of the Ugliness, People should understand Good Ideologies, must have their minds set and Face the Crisis rationally and boldly.There's only one chance..
